What are the main tasks?

You will have the possibility to get an insight in the structure of a large international law firm and will be invited to take part in the life and daily work of one of our practice groups. Within the team you are able to see how documents are structured and get an insight in document management. We are addressing students of law who are already in their penultimate or final year of study of the master’s program. Candidates should have a very good command of the English language. Moreover you possess excellent IT skills (MS Office). On a personal level you are open-minded, reliable and committed.

What do we expect from you?

  • Student of Law (penultimate or final year of study of the master’s program)
  • Very good command of English language (level B2)
  • Microsoft Office (Word) knowledge

What knowledge and skills can you gain during the internship?

  • Possibility to use language skills i.e. English and/or German and therefore to enhance language skills (written and oral)
  • Possibility to see how legal documents are structured, legal research is done, how language is used etc. and so to enhance technical skills
  • Possibility to get an insight in the structure of a large law firm, about teamwork in the Vienna Finance, Projects and Restructuring group but also teamwork with members of the other offices of DLA Piper (i.e. invitation to take part in conference calls)
  • Possibility to enhance teamwork skills
