About us

The WorkSpace Europe University Consortium was established in 2013. It was founded and is coordinated by the non-profit organisation Workspace Europe, and it represents the only consortium of universities in Slovakia for Erasmus+ traineeships accredited by the European Commission.

The consortium currently brings together 11 universities in Slovakia and 2 universities in the Czech Republic. Every year, we send hundreds of students and recent graduates on Erasmus intersnships to companies and organizations abroad, where they gain professional experience and strengthen their career and personal development. Our main specialization are Erasmus+ traineeships for recent graduates.

We help universities improve the quality of Erasmus mobility project management and ensure a continuous increase in the number of Erasmus traineeships for their students and graduates.

At Workspace Europe, we believe that the Erasmus+ programme plays a crucial role in preparing students for the future labour market. It helps them develop a European identity, openness, and understanding of cultural differences. It brings positive change to society thanks to young talents who come or return home with valuable international experience.

For students of member universities, we provide:

• Assistance in finding host organizations and companies for traineeships abroad (via our own internship portal)
• Support in communication with companies
• Consultations on the suitability and quality of traineeship placements
• Advice on accommodation and practical matters before and during the traineeship
• Complete administrative support for Erasmus traineeships
• Erasmus financial grant for the traineeship period
• Career support after completing the mobility

For member universities, we offer:

• A professional partner for the high-quality implementation and development of Erasmus traineeship mobility projects
• An external office managing Erasmus traineeships for graduates — even after they have finished their studies
• A supportive and experienced team that reduces the workload of university Erasmus coordinators
• Expert and practical assistance with promotion, student recruitment, and project management
• Regular updates, inspiration, and best practices from European universities, the European Commission, and mobility seminars
• An interactive community of experienced coordinators for consultation, advice, and exchange of best practices
• Support in finding partners in Slovakia and abroad from both academia and business for cooperation opportunities

Member universities can use our digital tools and programs FREE OF CHARGE within our network for:

• Promoting the Erasmus+ programme and recruiting students interested in traineeships
• Efficiently distributing internship offers from partner host organizations to students
• Promoting study programs (Erasmus+ or full-degree) to international students
• Targeted communication with Slovak and international students about news and events
• Supporting the promotion of events and activities to ensure participation
• Organizing hybrid or fully virtual career events, including complete “virtual job fair” solutions

  Workspace Europe Consortium is part of the Workspace Europe Network, which brings together key initiatives in the field of student career development in Slovakia. For more than 10 years, we have been dedicated to preparing university students for professional life within the European labour market, supporting graduate employability, international internships under the Erasmus+ programme, and connecting universities with employers.
