Where can I do an internship?
An eligible organisation for an Erasmus+ traineeship can be any public or private organisation operating in a country participating in the Erasmus+ programme, for example:
- Private or public companies (small, medium and large enterprises, start-ups, family businesses, business incubators)
- Educational and research institutions (universities, faculties, research institutes, schools, training centers, non-profit organizations in the field of education)
- Public authorities and institutions (local, regional or national authorities, chambers of commerce, professional associations)
- Non-profit and non-governmental organizations (foundations, civic associations, charities, think tanks)
- Cultural, media and creative organizations (galleries, museums, media, cultural centers, advertising agencies)
Ineligible organisations:
According to Erasmus+ rules, it is not possible to carry out a traineeship in:
- EU institutions (e.g. European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the EU, etc.),
- EU agencies (e.g. Europol, EASA, ECDC...),
- organisations managing EU programmes (to avoid conflict of interest).
Tip: When choosing an internship, focus primarily on the content of the work – it must be connected to your field of study for it to count as part of the Erasmus+ program.
